Item description from seller

Original red leather, lightly worn. Map is worn, with holes at some fold junctions. Outline color by state. Show the east coast from Virginia to Maine, west to Erie Pennsylvania. This is among the first generation of maps to highlight railroad and canals, the first passenger railroad in the country, the B&O, having only been opened three years before the publication of this map. Thomson 722 lists the 1833 fifth edition of Davison's Traveller's Guide, but does not mention this accompanying map. OCLC 47779534 (3 locations: Yale, NYPL, Texas A&M).
