Item description from seller

Linen-backed map of lots near the East River in lower Manhattan, just above where the Brooklyn Bridge was built. Linen-backed, with some short tears mended. This is a later printing of a plan first drawn by William Bridges in the early 19th century and copied in 1840. Bright full color by lot. The colors indicate the original owners of lots: Anthony Rutgers, John Roosevelt, Christopher Bancker, and Jacobus Roosevelt. Many of the streets shown, including Batavia Place, Bankers Street and Oliver's Street no longer exist, at least by those names. Much of this area is now the location of the Alfred Smith Houses. This reissue was published by R. D. Cooke, 73 Cortlandt St., whose ad appears at the top left.
