Very attractive fully colored circular map of the area around New York City, covering the area from New Brunswick, NJ to White Plains, NY. From Burr's Universal Atlas, plate number 37. Very good condition with only one light stain in right margin near top. Full color by county. Unlike the states listed in Haskell, this example does not bear Burr's name. The only attribution is the copyright line with the name of Thomas Illman and a date of November 11, 1835. It was not taken from an issue of Jeremiah Greenleaf's Universal Atlas which used the same maps as the copyright line was removed on the map in those atlases. Not in Haskell, but see Haskell 743.
