Print on Demand. This book is a Church of England guide to preparing young people for confirmation. It contains the Church of England Catechism on Confirmation, a manual of instruction for Candidates, and an office of devotion which can be used by individuals or groups. The author, who is not named, was commissioned by the Church of England to prepare this book. The book includes sections on the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit, the three baptismal vows, and the Apostles' and Nicene Creeds. It emphasizes the importance of faith, repentance, and obedience in the Christian life. The book's approach is traditional, seeing confirmation as a continuation of the promises made at infant baptism, and the spiritual preparation for reception of the Holy Communion. The book is based on the teachings of the Church of England, but its insights and principles are applicable to all Christians who are seeking to understand and strengthen their faith. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

MY object in printing this Manual is to aid those whom I may hereafter instruct, and to supply the need which we have felt of a simple and practical text-book. If it should prove useful to other teachers, an additional advantage will have been gained. A few words only are required, in explanation of the manner in which it is to be used.
