Item description from seller

Hardcover. L.S. Palmer was a professor of Physics who was Professor Emeritus at the University of Hull and Honorary Curator of Wells Museum, Somerset at the time of this book's publication. This is an unusual effort to trace the morphology of man with the passage of chronological time. Palmer appears to have coined the term "anthropochronology" for this field of study. The term does not appear to have caught on, since it cannot be found in internet searching except as part of the title of this book. Includes charts and graphs of the development of human physical characteristics over time. An interesting and unusual anthropological analysis. Small quarto. Red cloth-covered boards with one bumped corner, white stain on front; gilt title on spine. Interior bright with nominal annotations; index; 184 pp. Anthropology. ANTH/1093.
