In line with Rizzoli's important fashion titles such as Christian Louboutin and Ralph Lauren comes Manolo Blahnik. This gorgeous and luxurious volume celebrates the works and career of the great shoe designer. While other books on Manolo Blahnik have been short, niche portfolios of his sketches, this large-format book is full of specially commissioned photographs of Blahnik's most coveted shoe designs and his in-depth discussions with artists and collaborators.
This first comprehensive and lavishly illustrated volume to document the influences and life work of Manolo Blahnik, one of the most influential and talked about icons in contemporary fashion.

About the Author
Manolo Blahnik is a Spanish fashion designer and founder of the self-named, high-end shoe brand. In the 1970s, when chunky platform shoes and boots were the mainstream footwear styling of the day, Blahnik turned back his attention to the stiletto heel, which has remained the brand's mainstay to this day. Manolo Blahnik shoes have rapidly become a symbol of pure classical style for the 21st century. Blahnik was elevated to the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1987. In 2007 Blahnik was appointed as an honorary Commander of the Most Excellent Order British Empire for his service to the British fashion industry. André Leon Talley is the former American editor-at-large for Vogue magazine. Sofia Coppola is an American screenwriter, director, producer and actress. Pedro Almodóvar is a Spanish film director, screenwriter and producer and a successful and internationally known filmmaker. Michael Roberts is a British fashion journalist and photographer. Mary Beard is a classics professor at the University of Cambridge. Rafael Moneo is a Spanish architect.
