192 pages, 12 chapters and an index. On page 177-178 there is a fold at the upper outer edge that I have attempted to straighten out. This story from its inception in 1941 saw some of the West's best physicists and engineers develop the most potent armament known to man. This book tells the tale of the events of how a gifted and often conflicted group of scientists devoted themselves to unlocking the secrets of nuclear fission. A very nice copy; available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box.
