Review
A must-have comprehensive reference of essential standards, controls and legislation. The author, David Lacey, offers superb practical guidance based on a wealth of experience. --Geoff Harris, President of the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA)
This well-respected author takes a fresh perspective on the challenges of security. This 'stand-out' guide shows clearly what needs to be done. --Dr Alastair MacWillson, Global Managing Director, Accenture Technology Consulting
...industry guru David Lacey shares his knowledge with BSI Standards, and shows how to apply BS ISO/IEC 27001 and related standards, to build a safer outsourced project. He describes the book as a culmination of his "experience as a senior security and technology director, including two decades of practical experience in specifying and managing the security, governance and risk management requirements for large commercial contracts, including a few in excess of a billion pounds in value". --Manufacturing Computer Solutions
Surprisingly, there has been little published guidance on first specifying and then managing the security issues associated with outsourcing and offshoring. Until now, that is. A new book - Managing Security in Outsourced and Offshored Environments: How to Safeguard Intellectual Assets in a Virtual Business World aims to fill that void by setting out practical advice, methods and Best Practice for identifying and managing the security risks associated with the outsourcing and offshoring of IT or business services. --www.info4security.com
