As such, it is able to alter the context around the conflict, thereby challenging the status quo. Maria Mitaev is a graduate of Central European University, Budapest, Hungary. Having served for U. S. State Department and the OSCE, she is an analyst of the Russian Federation's south-west periphery, drawing from her eye-witness experience of numerous diplomatic encounters and conversations with interlocutors in the region.
