About the Author: Flocel Sabaté, Ph.D. (1993), Universitat de Barcelona, is Professor of Medieval History at the Universitat de Lleida and Doctor Honoris Causa at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo. He has published many books about medieval society, such as The Death Penalty in Late-Medieval Catalonia (Routledge, 2020).
