In Managing the Bucket List: The Journey Begins – Volume II, Carol McIlwain continues her inspiring adventure across the globe after retiring from a thirty-nine-year career with the United States Department of the Navy. What began with unforgettable trips to Portugal and Patagonia soon became a life-changing mission to explore the world, embrace new cultures, and gain a deeper understanding of international relations through firsthand experience.
From the sun-soaked beaches of the Caribbean Islands and Mexico to the ancient wonders of Israel, Egypt, and Greece, each destination brings new stories of adventure, discovery, and personal growth. Travel through the breathtaking landscapes of Peru and the Dominican Republic, where every journey becomes a lesson in culture, history, and humanity.
Beyond personal adventures, Carol shares fascinating experiences from her professional travels to Puerto Rico, the United Kingdom, Japan, Haiti, France, Romania, Australia, the Solomon Islands, and even deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, offering readers a rare glimpse into the world through both a traveler’s eyes and a government professional’s perspective.
More than a travel memoir, this book blends adventure, culture, history, and global insight into an unforgettable reading experience. If you love inspiring true stories, world travel, and discovering the beauty and complexity of different nations, Managing the Bucket List: The Journey Begins – Volume II is your passport to an extraordinary journey.
