You wake up in the dead of night. On your pillow is a photo of you sleeping, taken just minutes ago. On the back, a warning: You are not who you think you are.
The Valença family's billionaire empire has just been breached by a ghost who left no trace in the security system. To protect the heiress, Aura, Kael Moretti steps in: a lethal, impenetrable ex-special forces operator with absolute control over everything around him.
Kael has an unbreakable rule: never get involved with a client. Aura has her own: never trust anyone who works for her father.
But Kael is hiding a dangerous secret. He didn't take the job for the money. He swore to find the culprits, and Aura—who had her childhood traumas mysteriously erased from her memory—is the only living witness capable of uncovering the truth.
Isolated by a relentless blizzard in a cabin in Serra do Véu, their mutual distrust turns into a high-stakes game of cat and mouse fueled by attraction and danger. Kael's mind demands justice. But his attraction to Aura defies all his defenses.
He was hired to keep her alive. But what happens when the truth he seeks has the power to destroy her life forever?
