“In the fog of war, even hunters may become prey.”
For centuries, Marc DesPlaines was a shadow among the living. A vampire stripped of emotion and forged in the fires of endless conflict. Notably, he dutifully served as guardian to his spirited charge, Evelyn.
Man at War thrusts Marc into the mud and madness of the Great War along the Western Front. There he commands forces to counter the rising, supernatural threats born from a war waged on an industrial scale. Amid ghouls, werewolves, and vampires, Marc battles the void within while Evelyn does her part on the home front. As unseen threats converge, shall duty prevail, or will chaos consume even the immortal?
Set against the grim tapestry of World War I, this dark, historical fantasy immerses readers in a supernatural saga of strategy, survival, and the cost of eternity. Before turning the page, remember: In the fog of war, even hunters may become prey.
While a sequel to Man of War, this work stands on its own. Man at War welcomes new readers to a narrative that can be enjoyed independently or in conjunction with the preceding novel.
