You're showing up every day-and still wondering if it's enough.
Mama and Babe is the practical, honest guide for single mothers who want more than survival. Written by Shannon Pryor-who became a solo parent overnight after losing her fiancé to a sudden stroke while pregnant with one child and caring for another-this book meets you exactly where you are, without judgment, without unrealistic advice, and without pretending the journey is easy.
Whether you're newly single or years into this chapter-divorced, widowed, separated, or parenting solo by choice-you'll find guidance that actually fits your real life. Shannon covers grief and emotional resilience, parenting children through loss, overcoming the fear of not being enough, managing your time and finances, dating after loss, estate planning, basic investing for single moms, positive parenting strategies, fostering your children's curiosity, and building a support system that truly works.
What you'll discover inside: How to move from shock and grief into steady, grounded strength-for you and your children
- Practical tools for raising emotionally resilient kids while you're rebuilding yourself. A chapter-by-chapter approach to time, structure, and routines that create real stability at home
- Honest guidance on dating after loss-on your own terms, in your own time
- Financial foundations: saving, estate planning, and basic investing designed for solo income households
- How to build a support village you can actually lean on-without guilt
- Reflection exercises and action steps that fit into a real, imperfect, busy single-mom life
"Reading Mama and Babe felt like someone finally understood what grief and motherhood feel like at the same time. Shannon puts words to emotions many widows carry quietly, and reminds you that healing and rebuilding really are possible." - Sarah, Widowed Mother of Two
You are not failing. You are not alone. And a more grounded, fulfilling life with your children is possible-starting now.
If you're a single mother ready to stop just surviving and start truly thriving, add Mama and Babe to your cart today.
