Add to basketFirst published in 1924, this book is dedicated to John Wing Prentiss, a new breed of stockbroker of that era. This fictionalized version of the other side of Wall Street covers the story of a brokerage firm from its founding through 1924 and shows how the stockbroker works from the inside and what he did to make millions without whitewashing and propaganda. This is a good teacher in a personal form where you learn a lot more about human nature and business after the age of the buccaneer but still, before the great depression and security regulations that followed. 340 pages. Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc. Garden City, New York. 1930 date with anchor emblem between "D D" at title page; 1925 date at copyright page. Scarce, early printing from Doubleday, Doran & Company. Dark olive green brushed cloth boards, black stamped spine titles with decoration, very good copy, no writing.
