Craft a sermon that connects heart and mind with clear, persuasive flame.
This practical guide helps preachers shape sermons that speak to both what listeners feel and what they think. Drawing on timeless craft and vivid examples, it shows how to make your message arrive with focus, warmth, and authority. This edition explains how to organize a sermon for maximum impact, from choosing a strong theme to delivering a memorable conclusion. It blends sound exegesis with engaging rhetoric, offering concrete steps, sample lines, and cautions against common pitfalls. Readers will learn to balance analysis, illustration, and application while keeping the audience at the center of every decision.
- Develop a burning point that stays with listeners after the final word.
- Use structure and rhythm to move from idea to impact without losing clarity.
- Incorporate concrete examples and careful wording to strengthen persuasion.
- Avoid dull repetition and aim for language that aids understanding and memory.
