Add to basketDusy jacket complete, unclipped, Green cloth with bright gilt titling on spine. No ownership inscription. Numerous Colour & b/w Illustrations. 154 pages clean and tight. The quilt you make yourself will always be treasured and will remain in the family for generations. For those new to the craft as well as the more experienced, this book gives you all the information needed to complete eleven original quilts and wall hangings. As well as new designs there are interesting uses of traditional patterns and you'll find over forty different quilt blocks, all photographed in colour. Most patterns are full-size. Jessie MacDonald carefully explains each step - how to choose fabrics, make templates, cut fabric, piece blocks, applique, embroider, assemble the quilt top, do the final quilting and finish the edges. No matter what level of expertise you have reached there is a style of quilt that you'll both admire and thoroughly enjoy making. There is, for instance, the Scrap Basket quilt which not only uses up all your odd pieces of fabric but also, by repeating a simple basket pattern, produces an entirely original effect since no two blocks are the same. More ambitious is the Glittering Star quilt which Jessie MacDonald finds `almost every quilter has an ultimate desire to make'. Now by following her patterns and clear instructions you can! Size: 4to.
