Gingko Library, London, UK. 2015. Hardcover. Stated 2nd Edition/Revised and Updated from 2011 original. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: As New. DJ: As New. Maroon cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine. Ribbon page markers in place. 390 pp 8vo. In 1914 the Middle East was dominated by the Ottoman Empire but with WWI and the Balfour Declaration in favor of Zionism, by 1923 its political shape had changed beyond recognition with claims by Arabs, Turks, and Zionism. These events set the pattern for what was to follow in much of the Middle East up to today. This book is a clea account of how the region as we know it emerged from the First War and its aftermath, with legacies which ought not to be ignored. A clean pristine copy.
