Paperback. When Dr. Magnus Jones decides to expose his university's fraudulent admissions practices, he is not only threatened with demotion but also has to confront the ire of failing students. Driving home to Holton Hall, he seeks solace in his friendship with practical-minded, always-ready-to-help Alessandro. Surrounded by a scheming mother, a sleek curate in love with Alessandro, and a female gold-digger, it's not long before Magnus finds himself the victim of local conflict. Set in contemporary academia, Magnus Jones is a novel of startling modernity in its bold treatment of the issue of same-sex spiritual love and a calling to ordination. It is unforgettable in its intensity and burning psychological sincerity. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.
