Full contemporary panelled calf with 5- banded spine with faint label and bright gilt date 1716. A thick book with 744 pages excl index and measuring 8" x 5" x 2". Scuffing to the leather on two corners. The four and twentieth edition of the South Part called England and third of the North Part called Scotland, with Improvement and more exact and larger Additions in the List of Officers etc than in any former Impression. Impressive copper-engraved frontispiece of George I engraved by George Vertue; 2pp address to Queen Anne, 1707; 6pp dedication to King George; 10pp contents; 9pp advertisements.Original blue silk ribbon still present between pp 336 & 337. On the whole, very clean bright pages, some have a little staining and three are very browned.
