In a game of predators, falling could be fatal.
Avery Quinn swore she'd never touch magic again—not after what happened to her sister. But when a mysterious invitation forces her back into the deadly world of competitive Hexdash, she discovers the tournament at Ravenlight Isle plays by its own dark rules.
Casimir Wolfe: reigning champion, untouchable prodigy, and the most infuriating person Avery has ever met. He moves through the tournament like he owns it, winning every match with insulting ease. Yet beneath his perfect exterior, something darker lurks.
As players vanish and disturbing "wellness checks" leave competitors forever changed, Avery realizes she and Caz are bound by more than just rivalry. Strange sigils burn themselves into their skin. Their magic begins to merge in impossible ways.
The more time she spends with him, the harder it becomes to remember why trusting him could be the worst mistake of her life.
But on an island where every victory demands sacrifice and love might be the ultimate weakness, Avery must decide: Is the boy trying to save her actually her greatest threat? And when the final match arrives, will she choose survival—or will she choose him?
Step into this addictive romantasy where enemies become everything, magic demands impossible choices, and the most dangerous game isn't the one being played on the court.
