Cait Fletcher was always second-best in her father's eyes, unable to compete with her perfect older brother. Her father's opinion of her plummeted even further when she fell for the local "bad boy" at the age of nine, but Cait's belief in Brice MacLaren never wavered. Not until the day Brice betrayed her a few months before their wedding. Cait moved away and never looked back, until her father's illness brings her home again.
Cait still hates their village in the Scottish Highlands as much as she loves it. Everyone has advice to offer, yet no one thought to tell her about her father's cancer or his plans to sell the family's Library and Tea Room. Setting her own hurt aside, Cait follows the example of generations of women in her Highland glen and fights to save her family. Unfortunately, that means working side by side with Brice to make the business profitable and show her father he has something to live for.
Brice swears that he has changed. Cait wants to believe that's true, but she must decide whether she can trust him with her father, the family business, and her heart.
Loved by readers of Nora Roberts, Maeve Binchy, Kristin Hannah, Susan Mallery, Susan Wiggs, Sarah Addison Allen, and Susanah Kearsley.
