Seller's business information

Griffen Books

UT, U.S.A.

The seller is a life-long avid reader with special interests in anthropology, comparative literature, science, classics. Family libraries from grandparents' and parents estates have come to join the seller's library. A need to downsize makes liquidation of much of these libraries necessary and the seller feels that someone willing to pay for a book wants the book and will appreciate it more than a donated book. Salt Lake City is the seller's present home but family libraries come from Minnesota. John L. Watson, was an attorney for the Northern Pacific Rail Road in St. Paul and many books may have his name penciled into the frontispage. His wife, Lenora Kellogg Watson and her sister Adelaide Kellogg built their own libraries from young ages and their names will be written into many books. They enjoyed Tennyson and many of the other romantic writers of their era. James and Mary McIlrath, the seller's parents, had their own literary preferences and many books of theirs may have the ex libris identifier plate in them. Conditions will vary from AS NEW to acceptable depending on their usage and pricing has been done by looking at comparable prices in the online market and choosing an intermediate pricing when all other things are equal. All possible efforts are made to assure that descriptions of condition meet the common criteria in this market.
