The small Italian oracle cards of La Vera Sibilla, along with many other Sibilla cousins, spread throughout Europe in the 19th century and are read worldwide today. Depicting scenes from 19th-century Italy, 52-card Vera Sibilla is an intimate oracle that speaks about our daily lives, revealing what is to come and gossiping about what is happening in any situation.
The first kit of its kind to be published in English, The Magic Lantern Sibilla features beautiful new cards in the spirit of the original by Anastasia Kashian and a comprehensive guidebook from renowned author Caitlín Matthews. The guidebook is a complete learning course designed to progressively teach beginners to build their reading skills and learn each card in detail over the course of a year. Artist Anastasia Kashian brings a completely new vision to the traditional cards while maintaining their historic charm. Her illustrations provide witty, wise and dramatic new versions of the cards, while providing the reader with a wealth of visual insight as to the card's meaning.
Whether in questions of love, work, or play or in the face of the unexpected, La Vera Sibilla has the reputation of being a shrewd observer and squarely telling the truth. Master this fascinating historic cartomancy system and prepare to discover a strikingly accurate reading experience unlike any other.
