Let the Magic Begin is the powerful, inspiring story of Cathy Lee's journey back into the realm of what she calls the Bliss Zone. It is her totally entertaining, yet heartfelt account of how life forced her out of the march of reality, and into that magical place we all knew as children where pure energy, creativity, and joy abound, and where coincidences open up a whole new world of possibility in each and every moment. With grace, humor, and courage, she re-ignites, step-by-step, the magnificence of who we really are. Cathy Lee not only shares with us the facts of what happened during this incredible six-year odyssey, but also the actual process of how she arrived back at the center of things and back to her connection with the very core of her being. As she struggles to find the answers to the two questions that had eluded her since childhood - Who am I? and Why am I on this earth? - you will eagerly join her in your own magical quest to fulfill your destiny.

From the Author
Like everything else in my life in the last two years, this book came about in a completely coincidental manner. When I met with Bob Asahina, at the time senior editor of Simon & Schuster, I assumed that he was interested in me writing a book on health and fitness...something I felt would be a natural. After some twelve hours of in-depth discussions stretching over two days, however, Bob gently yet skillfully elicited my agreement to write a somewhat different book...the exact one he wanted. It was a book that I felt totally unequipped to write because of the highly personal nature of the journey it was to focus on. These doubts, I might add, never left me, even up to the date of publication. But something inside kept pushing me forward in spite of all my trepidation. So finally, I gave up trying to control the book's destiny and allowed myself the freedom, excitement, surprise, and anxiety of riding the horse in the direction it was going. I let go enough to become the vessal through which the Universe could work its creative magic. Simon & Schuster classifies this as a motivational book. If that's true, then it's certainly one of the most unorthodox motivational books ever written. It is not a paint-by-the-numbers road map of "How to get rich... beautiful-sexy-successful OVERNIGHT, in ten easy chapters." Rather, it is simply an account, in all its color and emotion, of one particular person's evolution of going through the eye of the hurricane and coming out the other side, face-to-face with the magic within. These pages are filled with the story of that journey I took to the "center" of things. Just when I had achieved everything I had ever dreamed of, in every aspect of my life, the Universe proceeded to show me the one thing I had neglected to remember. Within a very short period of time, I lost everything I had ever worked for and achieved in such a dramatic fasion that, when I hit bottom, I landed with a reverberating thud. The particular circumstances of my fall were really no different from those of anyone else who has faced trauma in their life. We've all been there in varying degrees. So, the essence of this book is not a tale of how I fought back from "despair," or of my step-by-step journey back to the "top." It is the story of how life itself forced me back into that magical place of awe and wonder, where coincedences abound, opening the door to all possibility. It is the world of universal energy and total potentiality. I will tell you the facts of what happened, but more important, the actual process by which I gradually became aware of what "reality" really is. You will discover, as I did, the sheer joy of allowing life's inherent gifts, available to you in every moment, to endow you with a richness and joy more profound than you ever thought possible. For those of you who have long traveled on this path and already knew...have a good laugh on me and just how much I appreciate who you are. For the rest of us, I hope this book will not only be a reminder for myself of the journey I have taken and the gifts I have received, but will also serve as a guide for those who have lost their map; as a sign for those who are about to undertake the trip; as a door for those who have been searching; as a gift for those who are against the wall; and a beacon for those who are in the middle of the fight. A journey begins with courage, trust, and one small step, and I wish you magic in yours. Cathy Lee Crosby
