Synopsis:

"Robert Hartman * for his senior year of college with the sole purpose of avoiding the draft and service in Vietnam. Among the excitement and turmoil of 1968 different "voices" give him answers to the inevitable draft notice that will arrive in June. As he waits for that draft notice, love arrives from an unexpected source."--Author's website.

About the Author: Larry Neitzert was raised on a small farm outside of Coldwater, Michigan. He attended Michigan State University and earned a BA and MA. For thirty-five years he was involved in public education -- thirty-one as a classroom teacher. He taught elementary, secondary, and coached athletics. In 2006 he left public education and now is an adjunct instructor in social studies at Baker College -- teaching history. For the last thirty years he has lived in the same rural house that needs constant attention, with his wife who tolerates his idiosyncrasies and daydreams
