The path of Zen and the path of the samurai are forms of wisdom to navigate our daily lives. In times of change and uncertainty, samurai ethical values such as devotion or resilience can be very convenient. The austerity and fertile emptiness of Zen teach us to live in the present. Alexis Racionero Ragué immerses us in the Japanese universe by combining philosophy and spirituality with travel books in a very entertaining way. From a route through Japan, he introduces us to the ethics, aesthetics and spirituality of the samurai, the warrior monk imbued with Zen. His gaze constitutes a modern reinterpretation of this archetype that today can be embodied in both a man and a woman. Mushin visits places such as the Eiheiji Monastery, the cradle of the Zen grove, the tomb of the 47 ronin, the sacred mountain of Koyasan, the forests of Nikko or the fortress of Himeji. At the same time, there are notes from classic Japanese cinema, contemporary references such as Kill Bill or classic Bushido texts.

Store description
