Every machine, technology, and industrial system that powers the modern world begins with engineering principles. From the electricity that runs our homes to the automated factories, electric vehicles, intelligent robots, and renewable energy systems transforming industries, electrical and mechanical engineering provide the foundation behind human innovation.
But how do machines actually work? How do engineers design systems that are powerful, efficient, and reliable? How do electrical systems, mechanical components, automation, and artificial intelligence come together to create the technologies of tomorrow?
Modern Electrical and Mechanical Engineering is a comprehensive guide designed to help readers understand the principles, systems, and technologies that shape today’s engineering landscape. This book explores the connection between electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, showing how these two disciplines work together to create modern solutions across industries.
From fundamental concepts to advanced applications, this guide provides a clear and practical understanding of engineering systems. Readers will explore how electrical energy is generated and controlled, how machines convert energy into motion, how engineers design and optimize systems, and how automation and intelligent technologies are transforming the industrial world.
Inside this book, you will discover:
-
The foundations of electrical engineering, including circuits, voltage, current, resistance, power, electrical machines, and energy systems.
-
The essential principles of mechanical engineering, including forces, motion, energy, machine components, thermodynamics, and mechanical design.
-
How engineers approach real-world problems through design processes, analysis, modeling, and optimization.
-
The role of CAD, simulation, and digital engineering tools in developing modern products and systems.
-
How automation, robotics, control systems, and artificial intelligence are creating smarter machines and more efficient industries.
-
The technologies behind modern manufacturing, Industry 4.0, smart factories, and connected industrial systems.
-
The development of renewable energy solutions, sustainable engineering practices, and future energy technologies.
-
How mechatronics combines mechanical systems, electronics, sensors, and computer intelligence to create advanced automated products.
-
The future of engineering, including autonomous machines, intelligent systems, and next-generation technologies.
Whether you are a student beginning your engineering journey, a professional looking to expand your technical knowledge, or someone interested in understanding the technologies that shape everyday life, this book provides a valuable foundation.
Engineering is no longer limited to designing individual machines or electrical systems. Modern innovation depends on understanding how different technologies interact. A successful engineer must understand how mechanical structures, electrical power, digital systems, automation, and intelligent technologies work together as complete solutions.
This book presents engineering concepts in a clear and accessible way, making complex topics easier to understand while maintaining the depth needed for serious learners. It connects theory with practical applications, helping readers see how engineering principles are used in transportation, manufacturing, energy, robotics, and industrial systems.
As the world moves toward smarter machines, cleaner energy, and more connected technologies, engineering knowledge has never been more important.
Explore the principles, technologies, and innovations shaping the future of engineering. Discover how electrical and mechanical systems work together to build the modern world.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to California Books, Fort Wayne, Indiana, U.S.A., without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
