This is the biography of Father Junipero Serra, the man who founded many of the missions in California. It starts with his boyhood and continues on through all the major events of his life until his death. The story continues on from there as it talks about life at the missions, the secularization of the missions by Spain, and the effect of Father Serra in modern times. The result is a moving, colorful, and historical account of Father Serra. Included are photographs and illustrations. This copy is solid with an inscription from a former owner on the front free endpaper. There is also a light stain to the cloth.
