A prayerless heart is a heart in which there is no pull toward the prayer chamber. Such a heart is in more danger than it knows, and there are many such in the Church today. These need to repent. Prayerlessness requires repentance; it is as much to be repented of as open sin. It is far more deceptive than open sin. An open sinner is at least on record as such; those around him know where he stands in relation to the things of God; but a prayerless religious professor is a living lie. He is making people believe that he is what really he is not. This volume is for those who, like its author, are seeking to enter ever more deeply into the mysteries of prevailing prayer.
