Foolscap carbon copy typescript with ink corrections of an English translation of Mario de Sabato's Revelations: the secret diary of the most famous seer of the 20th century. The original text in French was first published in the series La Pensee Moderne in 1974, but no English translation has yet appeared. The journalist Jean-Michel Petraru, who interviews de Sabato at certain points, also provides a one page Introduction. He may also be the translator. Less successful predictions are that a new Messiah will be revealed in 1999 and that China will invade Russia in 1998. Under the heading ' What will be the Future of the Human Race ' de Sabato predicts that Man will turn away from meat, ' ultimately becoming wholly vegetarian'. However, since the great increase in population will threaten the survival of humanity, food sources will be sought 'from the bottom of the sea and in chemical derivatives extracted from minerals.' He also predicts that lives will be greatly prolonged, ageing 'retarded ' and ' invalidism ' practically abolished.
