[4], 232, [6]pp. 12mo (14 x 8cm). Seventeenth-century edition of the Earl of Manchester's popular meditation on mortality and the soul first published in 1631. Table of contents at rear. Contemporary full calf. Somewhat scuffed; joints weakening. Lettering faded from spine which has one inch of loss at foot. Bookplate and previous owner inscription. Good clean text block.
