"A beautifully illustrated biography about Beethoven’s childhood and how he came to become a great composer. On the accompanying CD, the narration of the story is interwoven with recordings of some of his greatest works. Beethoven did badly at school because all he could think about was music, and Mozart was one of his early admirers. Children will learn that they can make up a tune to their favorite poem and sing it, and that with only seven notes they can play countless tunes."
