Lucy the dog is ready for an adventure. Today she's going to the meadow to play with her friend, Millie the bee. Millie is busy collecting pollen, and Lucy can't wait to learn all about it. Why are bees so important to the environment? What is pollen, and what is nectar, and how do bees help plants grow? Together Millie and Lucy will learn all about this wonderful mystery of nature!

Children are often afraid of bees, but these small creatures do so much for the environment. Lucy's Adventures is a charming picture book that teaches kids why bees are important, and what they do to help us all. It's a particularly useful resource for educators who want to teach their classes about the role bees play in our delicate ecosystem.
