In the first part, Lover's Gift, the poet pleads to his beloved to walk in his garden and 'Pass by the fervid flowers that press themselves on your sight.' His beloved is also 'sweet to me as sleep is to tired limbs.' One comes across pining for the beloved as well as bountiful gifts. Moreover, the lover and beloved have the right to show abhiman (petulance) for each other.
In Crossing, some of the poems possess a sense of religiosity and subtle feel of those in Gitanjali, the song offerings. 'You came to my door in the dawn and sang' makes you aesthetically feel the presence of the Almighty. And tired, the poet pleads, 'Pick up this life of mine from the dust.' The poet has hope when he says, 'I know that the flowers that fade in the dawn, / the streams that strayed in the desert, are / not altogether lost.'
Here is a literary treat as Kaviguru takes you on an awakening endless journey of love, loss and spirituality.

About the Author
Married to words, Bob is a poet, novelist and consulting educationist with several books, novels and poetry in paperback. Bob has been teaching since 1982. He has inspired countless students in his teaching career, teaching them that happiness comes from a healthy body and mind. Many of his students hold eminent posts as medical doctors, army men, air pilots, DJs, business magnates, you name it. Most of them are constantly in touch with him even after his two decades of service in the teaching field. He tutors English where he also gives talks on Happiness that can be achieved by living a simple life, minimum wants and living one day at a time. That is, living for the Now. Bob lives in Kolkata but dreams of mountain mist floating through the open window and bringing the soft peals of bells from the Buddhist temple into his room. An Honorary D. Litt. from World Academy of Arts and Culture, California, Bob is a member of Foundation of SAARC Writers and Literature, the SAARC Apex Body. www.facebook.com/bobdcosta, bob.dcosta14@gmail.com www.amazon.com/author/bobdcosta

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
