Paperback. Most stories of love are told from a female's point of view. This one is told from a man's point of view. If a male is part of a story, why should he stand mute and simply suffer the fireworks of his intended? Here, he stands tall and develops his own viewpoint. So, hang-on to your hat. Corporal Wyatt Verner, almost in one piece, cleared out of Korea and found his way home to Franklin. For three years, Wyatt had yearned for a quiet life. And, he had prayed for salvation, but he didn't think it possible. He did, however, hope to marry an understanding woman who had promised to wait faithfully. When Wyatt stepped off the bus, onto his hometown soil, the first thing he learned was that his girlfriend had married another. The second thing he learned was that his father was missing---vanished without a clue. This was just the beginning. Finally, after fighting off a few goon attacks, Wyatt realizes that he had landed in another war that was even more deadly than Korea. He realized that this is a 'War and Peace' situation---with damned little peace. The new toy in town was a remodeling of ole man Smother's Beach. It stretched across the end of town, making a ribbon of sand to the water. Dog lovers were accustomed to walking their dogs down for a nice sandy poop. It was now fenced in and cost a fortune at the gate---a renowned shrine. They had renamed it Woolybugger Riviera and it was the talk of the world. Somehow, the beach now made people fall in love-faster than you can snap your fingers. There are over 3,000 miles of beach along Lake Michigan, but Woolybugger's magic beach conveniently fit tightly within the city limits of Franklin. Seaplanes of all sorts dropped off love-seeking pilgrims for the fast track treatment. There was, however, a catch. Those love bundles didn't last more than one week. So, down the street stood four wedding chapels, eight divorce courts, and a new hospital that specialized in heat strokes and heart attacks. Woolybugger's magic beach made Franklin rich and it made the world sit up and take notice. Wyatt learns that he is being targeted because somehow he is blocking the plans of a large, money sucking corporation. As the battle rages, Wyatt doesn't fight alone. Three devoted women back him up. They are smart and deadly. Also, Wyatt's buddy--Jake, who had been railroaded into three years in prison, uses the prison as his alma mater for information and connections. The women soldiers will delight and amaze you with their techniques. Our Lovers are drawn into whirlwinds of fighting and loving to save their lives and to rescue Franklin and its future. Readers are advised to wrap pillows around their necks because when this baby takes off ---it goes so fast, it might pop your head right off your neck. And then, you'd miss the ending, which is truly glorious. This item is printed on demand.
