Set in the golden city of 1800's San Francisco and in the wake of the emancipation proclamation, The Love Lesson, is a romantic tale of two unlikely people brought together under the most incredulous circumstances and addresses issues of slavery, kidnapping and murder most foul. At the bequest of her dying lady, servant Kristen Brent assumes her role as the widowed bride to a Lord she has never met. What happens when a virgin bridge is not expected to be one? Before she can assume her role as the wife of Lord Rossmore, she must try and rid herself of her virginal state. But who can she turn to now that she is in a strange land with friends or family. Seeking out the only person she feels can help her is an irrepressible flame haired Tavern Owner Nell, who in fun offers her the name Wade Larson who would ordinarily be a willing participant. The plan backfires, and results in a complete misinterpretation and complicated mishap. What will she do when Lord Rossmore finally returns from business to claim his bartered bride? This item is printed on demand.
