About the Author: Derrick "June Garcia"(self proclaimed "Prince of the South") is an Atlanta based rap artist/entrepreneur with a lot of whit & character. His style and sound isn’t your typical "ATL sound". His raspy voice, delivery and production, create the perfect image for his artistry. June's influences are T.I.P., Outkast, Snoop Dogg, Michael Jackson, 2Pac, B.o.B. & the list goes on. In the beginning Mr. Garcia use to freestyle at lunchtime while in high school, battling the school's hottest M.C’s. "Everyone one use to call me out, because I wasn’t from the area. At first people use to poke fun but after awhile they accepted me because I would never let up with my barrage of lyrics and I didn't care what they thought about me." Just shortly after graduating from Bayside High School in (Virginia Beach, VA), Junes then girlfriend gave his demo to Keyon George (VMC). Keyon was an A&R for Teddy Riley.
