Paperback. A Lot of Things Just Happen: New and Selected Poems, 1967-2023 by Bill Stucky spans the extraordinary breadth of a poetic journey that unfolds over more than half a century. From the throes of spiritual agony in his 20s to the profound roles of husband, father, and healer, Stucky's verses chronicle a life richly lived through evolving perspectives and deepening wisdom. This collection paints a vibrant memoir in poems, tracing Stucky's maturation across the decades. Witness his transformation from a young man wrestling with divine mysteries to a seasoned sage who encounters God in every facet of life-from the depths of loss to the peaks of rebirth. Stucky's voice, echoing the ecstatic traditions of Hafez and the devotional lyricism of Kabir, matures into a nuanced tapestry of life's relentless wonder. With humor and earnestness, Stucky invites readers to journey alongside him, marveling at the myriad ways in which the divine weaves through the mundane. A Lot of Things Just Happen is more than a collection of poetry; it is a testament to the life-altering power of faith, love, and relentless curiosity. As Bill Stucky himself muses, perhaps there is no greater revelation than the constant unfolding of the sacred in our everyday lives. This item is printed on demand.
