As New; There are young people who struggle to find success in traditional schools. They are disengaged - lost in systems of conformity and failure. Lost Prizes addresses this disconnect by recognizing the talents of all and by engaging youth through relationship building and enriched educational programming. The work done at the University of Winnipeg - work focusing on access, mentoring, and problem solving - has had a considerable influence on schools in our province and in other parts of the world. The positive, strength-based perspective discussed in this book will bring hope to many disenfranchised students and the educators who serve them. - Lloyd Axworthy.
