A study of the life and work of Lord Rochester who, according to Graham Greene, has been greatly underestimated because of his reputation as a rake. Barely tolerated, yet applauded by Charles II, his last thirteen years were marred by "the fumes of drink" and many literary quarrels. 197p. bibliography, index.Remainder mark, else fine.
