A Long Time Ago...The Story of the Bowl and Pitcher is written as a fairy tale, but the idea to write this book was taken from a true story. The story takes place in 1913 with a pretty young housewife accidently breaking her beloved bowl that matches her pretty pitcher, and then how the bowl and pitcher are reunited many years later. The story is heart rendering and is an enduring tale. Who is the pretty young housewife? How does the bowl return to her? Readers will enjoy finding out how the bowl and pitcher find each other again and what really happened. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful!
