About the Author
Dr. Patricia Gage began her career as a school psychologist and learning specialist with the Bureau of Cooperative Educational Services in Nassau County, New York. In 1991, she moved to Stuart, Florida, where she was instrumental in developing a number of successful programs for children. While working as a school psychologist for the Martin County School District and later at The Pine School, Dr. Gage enjoyed a busy private practice specializing in psycho-educational evaluations and interventions for students with learning and behavioral issues. Dr. Gage is currently in private practice, in Stuart, Florida, where she specializes in psycho-educational evaluations and interventions for students with learning and behavioral issues. Currently, she is a member of both the National Association of School Psychologists and the American Psychological Association. As the co-founder of Hang In There, a company dedicated to providing resources for busy parents, she has coauthored numerous guides on parenting education, addressing topics such as sleep, potty training, charting a child’s development, temper tantrums, anxiety, dealing with loss, fostering optimism, and learning strategies for teens. She is the recipient of the gold 2016 Mom’s Choice Award for both "Hang In There Parenting Cards: On-the-Go Guides for Raising Infants & Newborn"s and "On-the-Go Guides for Raising Toddlers." Dr. Gage received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Hunter College, CUNY, New York. She holds a master’s degree in School Psychological Services and a Ph.D. in Child/School Psychology from New York University. Christopher J. Gage is an Assistant State Attorney for Florida’s 8th District. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Drexel University and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He enjoys learning about new cultures, reading, playing flag football and lacrosse, and most importantly, coaching the University of Florida Mock Trial Team. Marlo Garnsworthy is an Australian-American author, illustrator, editor, science communicator and nature lover. Her published works include fiction and nonfiction, though nonfiction and science are her passion. She recently spent two months living on an icebreaker, sailing from Antarctica through the Southern Ocean on a scientific research cruise. She makes her home in Rhode Island.
