Item description from seller

c.65 lines on 4pp 4to, 31st January 1792, with manuscript document, 2pp folio with integral blank, listing tenants, acres, rent at various locations in Ireland, 1793. Sir Robert Bateson Harvey (d. 1824) of Belvoir Park, Newtownbreda, County Down, owned estates in Antrim, Somerset and Buckinghamshire. David Tomb, 1761-1799, was a prominent Belfast businessman. In the letter, Tomb mentions that 'our friend Mr Valentine Jones's son Edward Jones Agnew (who is now on his travels in France, but expected home in a very short time) has offered himself as a candidate for the County of Antrim. It is expected he will succeed.' And indeed he did, remaining M.P. for Antrim until 1797. PLEASE NOTE: For customers within the UK this item is subject to VAT at 20%.
