About the Author:

Frances Evans has been a children's book writer and editor for the best part of a decade, working across a range of non-fiction subjects - from the environment and space to history, origami and, of course, dogs.

Her love of dogs began when she was a few days old and was introduced to her parents' Labrador-collie cross, Mojo. She grew up in mid-Wales surrounded by animals and a well-thumbed collection of dog encyclopaedias.

A supporter of rescue dogs, Frances currently lives in Surrey, England, with her Labrador-greyhound-saluki cross, Dolly.
