Item description from seller

All twelve issues for 1895 of this railroading journal, with each issue easily extracted from the publisher's binding by unscrewing the three studs and removing the retaining wire from the center of each issue. Publisher's decorative gilt stamped cloth with screw-bound, steel-back binding [ads within state that 1895 is the first year that this steel-back binding is available], 4to (11-3/4 inches tall), pp. 1-808, illustrated throughout w. maps, photo reproductions, line drawings and tables. Binding is very good w. expected wear and bumps ; individual issues are at least very good with toning, stains and the odd short closed tear or crease ; the Oct. issue is missing virtually all of it's cover. An uncommon Railway Journal, rare when found as a complete year with the publisher's original decorative gilt steel-back binding.
