When a desperate plan turns deadly, there's no locking the moment back up.
Aaron Johnson never meant to hurt anyone. He was supposed to stand there, keep his hands steady, and walk out with cash that would fix everything-at least for a little while. Mark Thompson promised it would be quick. Easy. Just enough to breathe again.
But in the harsh glare of a gas station's fluorescent lights, panic doesn't ask permission.
One gunshot leaves a young man dead, a town shattered, and two fugitives running in opposite directions-one fueled by cold certainty, the other unraveling under the weight of what he's done. As police close in and the story explodes across the news, grief curdles into anger, families fracture under suspicion, and the truth becomes something everyone thinks they own.
Because a trigger pull doesn't just end one life.
It detonates a chain reaction-through courtrooms and living rooms, across screens and headlines-until the only question left is whether guilt is a prison... or a sentence.
LOCKED AWAY WITH A LOADED GUN is a gritty, multi-perspective crime thriller about a single irreversible moment-and the wreckage it leaves behind.
