Item description from seller

1st edition thus, containing volume 1 (April 1875 - December 1876) + volume 2 ( Jan 1877 - Dec 1878). 282 pages + index + 308 pages. Packed with fascinating notes, letters and information reprinted from the "Manchester Courier". This was issued in parts and some of the covers are bound in at the rear. Attractive marbled end papers. A really good tight copy which has been handsomely bound up in rich brown half-leather hard covers (limited to only 250 copies). This is an Ex-Crosby Public Libraries book and it bears a couple of rubber stamps to confirm this together with a bookplate on the front end paper and an accession number printed lightly at the foot of the spine. Much superior to the normal Ex-Library book. A very substantial book. SCARCE. Very Good++. WILL REQUIRE EXTRA POSTAGE OUTSIDE UK.
