What if life after 65 isn’t the end of something—but the beginning of your most meaningful chapter?
In Living Well After 65, renowned clinical therapist and ordained minister Dr. Peter Salerno delivers a powerful, practical, and deeply human guide to thriving in the later years of life. Drawing on decades of counseling experience—and his own remarkable journey into his 90s—Dr. Salerno challenges the outdated belief that life “peaks” at retirement.
Instead, he offers a bold and hopeful message: your best years may still be ahead of you.
This book is part inspiration, part roadmap, and part wake-up call for anyone navigating aging, retirement, or major life transitions. With clarity and compassion, Dr. Salerno addresses the real challenges facing older adults today—from health care uncertainty and loneliness to anxiety, loss, and shifting identity—while offering practical strategies to regain control, purpose, and joy.
Inside, you’ll discover how to:
- Reclaim purpose after retirement and create a meaningful second act
- Develop resilience in the face of aging, loss, and uncertainty
- Navigate a changing healthcare system with confidence and clarity
- Overcome anxiety, depression, and dependency in later life
- Strengthen relationships and deepen connection with others
- Rediscover passion, vision, and personal growth at any age
- Face mortality with courage while fully embracing life
Grounded in real stories, psychological insight, and timeless wisdom, Living Well After 65 speaks directly to the emotional and practical realities of aging in today’s fast-changing world. From redefining retirement to confronting fear and ambiguity, this book equips readers with the tools to not just survive—but truly thrive.
Dr. Salerno reminds us that aging is not a decline—it is a transformation. A new stage. A new opportunity. A chance to live with intention, dignity, and purpose.
If you are approaching 65—or well beyond it—this book will help you take control of your future and make the most of the years ahead.
