Full Description
Living Easter helps you fulfill the vision of St. John Paul II, who said: “We are an Easter people, and Alleluia is our song!” This beautifully revised and expanded volume is an updated edition of Risen, originally published in 2019, refreshed to invite a new generation into the joy of the Resurrection.
Celebrated author Laura Kelly Fanucci writes: “Living Easter celebrates joy itself as our Resurrection practice. Taking up joy as a daily discipline teaches us about feasting as a companion practice to fasting: an intentional sacred act that draws us closer to God.”
This full-color hardcover edition guides you through fifty days of scripture, reflection, prayer, and action:
- Read a passage from the Gospels or Acts of the Apostles about Jesus’ Resurrection
- Ponder a reflection that deepens your understanding of these foundational stories
- Follow a heartfelt, brief prayer prompt
- Take up a daily call-to-action ― from ideas for what to eat or wear during Easter, to lively ways to practice joy in your interactions with others
Each week ends with a longer essay exploring the experiences of Jesus’ mother, Mary, and the disciples, beholding the wonder of Christ’s first appearances after his death and burial. These reflections provide timeless guidance for personal growth and shared discussion.
Living Easter also offers space for margin notes, questions, and insights, creating a devotional that can be returned to year after year. Beautifully designed, this hardcover devotional is perfect as a personal companion or a meaningful Easter gift for adults, friends, and family.
Celebrate Easter fully, live the Resurrection, and let joy become your daily spiritual practice.
